At Topcliffe, we offer Pastoral Support. This is a service that gives help and support to students as well as providing information, advice and guidance. We always work in close parntership with teachers, parents/carers and other speacilist agencies.
We can help children to:
Raise their self-esteem
Develop social skills
Manage their behaviour
Provide bereavement support
Recognise their own goals and aspirations
Develop independent learning
Resolve friendship issues
To be proud of their achievements and receive awards and certificates
Help with behaviour or emotional difficulties
Express themselves through drawing and talking
The pastoral team also:
Provide 1:1 Pastoral support
Provide behaviour charts
Provide group work with children
Promote pupils’ personal and social development and foster positive attitudes
Supports children who feel they are being bullied
Encourages outstanding ATTENDANCE
Supports children in and out of the classroom and provide skills to help with difficulties
Support parents with concerns around their children
Work closely with teachers to ensure every child achieves the best education
