Curriculum and Learning in Sycamores Class

Sycamores have PE on a Tuesday. Please remember to bring the correct PE kit for the lesson and children must come to school in their school uniform. They will change for PE in school before the session. 

It is extremely important that children read at home. We have home books that the children can take home and share the reading with the rest of the family.

Children can bring a snack for playtime, this snack should be a healthy option.

Homework in Sycamores

All children will have a reading book each week. Please read with your child and record in the reading record. Children will also have access to Accelerated Reader(Username and password is required) and will receive a weekly set of spellings which they will take home to practise and will be tested on in school.

Children will access Times Tables Rockstars (username
and password are required) Emile (times tables).  Mathletics (Username and password is required) children will be set tasks to complete linked to the learning that has been done in the classroom. 

In Year 6 children are sometimes given additional activities and revision to complete at home in readiness for Secondary School.
