Topcliffe is an inclusive, committed and caring school where the children are placed at the very heart of everything we do.
In bucket time, we made spooky spider webs. The children sang and requested spiders by their colours. Super teamwork Willows 🕷️🕸️ @Topcliffeschool@WMISLT2 pic.twitter.com/OFL0G6R5Z7— Mrs Humphryes & Willows (@MrsHumphryes19) October 11, 2024

This week we made chia seed 'slime'. The children retrieved animals from it and later on it was used for sensory mark making. Observing the differences and changes between the seed and the slime was a great STEM talking point too! @Topcliffeschool#OTchampion pic.twitter.com/nZOYpayXJa— Mrs Bignall (@MrsB_OTchampion) September 27, 2024

Oral motor activities can improve strength and coordination of muscles, provide sensory awareness to improve speech and eating, provide sensory input if seeking and can also be beneficial in controlling breathing for emotional regulation 😌 @Topcliffeschool pic.twitter.com/4goyd1b0YJ— Mrs Bignall (@MrsB_OTchampion) September 20, 2024

As part of our sensory feeding intervention we had a messy play session. The children had to search for toys hidden in the tray of foam. They then washed the toys and their hands if they wanted to.
