This spring sensory activity @Topcliffeschool was the warm up for handwriting tasks this week. Using the tweezers and scoop develops hand eye coordination, tripod finger isolation, hand strength and bilateral coordination. It would also make a great sensory food play activity 🤩 pic.twitter.com/CpO8NfX7xd— Mrs Bignall (@MrsB_OTchampion) March 21, 2025

A simple visual task plan is so important for lots of children who attend #OT sessions @Topcliffeschool They offer security in knowing the plan and they help to manage expectations with a clear start and finish. The children turn over the symbols when each task is complete. pic.twitter.com/cM3pFIKsNs— Mrs Bignall (@MrsB_OTchampion) March 14, 2025

Lots of cutlery skills practice this week for the @Topcliffeschool#OT skill of the month. Here the children are cutting through therapy putty which requires quite a bit of hand strength.
