Pride of Britain!

On Friday 31st January, Manny Kang came to give a talk to Key Stage 1 & 2 about railway safety. After, he also met with the Ambassadors to talk to them about his fundraising. In his inspirational talk, he told them about how he started raising money for Dementia UK and how he originally started with the plan to raise a few thousand pounds which has turned into him raising hundreds of thousands through his sponsored races and "Samosa Saturday" at his favourite football ground.

Manny also showed them photos of him meeting the King, getting a letter from the prime minister and winning his Pride Of Britain award for his amazing charity work.

The Ambassadoers had the chance to ask him how he chose what to do and how he stayed focused and motivated.

The children were inspired to get active with their own charity fundraising in the summer term. (More details to follow!)
